Day 82: Review of New Year's Eve

It is almost a little bit late now, but anyway: Happy New Year!!!
As you might know, I spent New Year's Eve on a boat on Sydney Harbour. Basically, I had an amazing evening and I had such a beautiful view, food and drinks were for free and the people on the boat have been very nice; but I would never ever choose this over an New Year's Eve with my family and my friends.
The DJ on the boat was about 60 years old and obviously liked disco music from the 70s. Me and the other intern and also the two people who have been sitting with us at one table did not really like it, so that was probably the worst thing this evening.
We had some drinks, danced a little bit, had some food, watched the 9pm fireworks (which were amazing)... this is basically what I did for 5 hours.
For the midnight fireworks, we had a special location on the boat. The captain asked us if we wanted to come to his cabin to watch the fireworks from there - so this is what we did. It was amazing, we did not have to be in the crowd which was located at the front of the boat but we were able to watch the fireworks in a relaxed atmosphere.
Since the two people from out table were allowed to join us there, they wanted to thank us with some drinks afterwars in a bar. Therefore, we walked arount the city afterwards to find a bar where we could go. Apparently, all the bars we found had an entry fee so in the end we happened to have our drinks a the bar of the casino. That was really impressive, everything was really beautiful there.
I was so tired after the first cocktail that I decided to go home - I reached my appartment at about 4 o'clock.
So I had probably the most impressive New Year's ever; but as I said... there is nothing better spending New Year's Eve with your friends and your family.
