Die Regierung erwartet Millionen von Menschen an den großen Plätzen - Circular Quay und Darling Harbour - die alle das Feuerwerk sehen wollen, das das neue Jahr willkommen heißen wird. Die Stadtverwaltung hat schon gestern überall um diese Locations Zäune aufgestellt um diese zu kontrollieren und nur so viele Leute rein zu lassen, wie auch wirklich Platz dort haben, und hat Begrenzungszonen und Alkohol-freie Zonen errichtet. Es ist so verrückt. Manche Menschen zelten schon vor den Parks und vor den Plätzen, um sich morgen den besten Platz zu sichern. Andere geben hunderte von Dollars aus um Silvester in einer der angesagten Rooftop-Bars (also eine Bar auf einem Dach) zu verbringen.
Und in Mitten von all dem Trubel bin ich die Glückliche, denn ich darf morgen Abend auf ein Schiff von der Firma, in der ich arbeite. Nur Leute, die auch ein gültiges Schiffticket für den Silvester Abend haben dürfen auf die Werft, also wird das alles relativ entspannt für mich. Ich freu mich auf jeden Fall schon riesig :)

Sydney is going crazy these days. Crazy about 2016.
The govenment expects millions of people at the main locations - Circular Quay and Darling Harbour - who all want to see the midnight fireworks welcoming the new year. The city administration has already shut off these locations with big fences and has created restriction areas and alcohol free zones all over the city. It is so crazy. People are already camping at the Parks in order to be at the best location when the fireworks go off. Others spend hundreds of dollars to enter some rooftop bar.
But all in between this trouble, I am the lucky one because I am allowed to go on one of the boats of the company I am working for. Only people who have a valid vessle ticket for New Year's eve are allowed to go on the wharfs, so it will be quite relaxed for me. I am very excited :)
