Day 39: Bondi Beach

Endlich ist das Wetter hier mal gut. Und endlich habe ich auch mal einen Tag am Strand verbracht. Am Bondi Beach, um genau zu sein, dem berühmtesten Strand in Sydney. Es wurde heute 42 Grad heiß und wir haben uns wie in der Wüste gefühlt, weil der Wind, der normalerweise kühl und echt angenehm ist, genau so heiß war; heißer noch als die Luft. Ein bisschen Zeit am Strand zu verbringen war eine echt gute Idee. Das Meer war kalt (aber ich glaube das wird hier nie warm) und die Wellen hier sind so stark. Ich hab die Kraft der Wellen echt unterschätzt und als mich die erste Welle getroffen hat bin ich auch direkt umgefallen. Ich habe nicht erwartet, dass sie so stark sind. Aber es war auch echt lustig. Als wir dann gegangen sind, haben wir und noch ein Eis bei Ben & Jerry's geholt. Da gibt es hier einen eigenen Store und die haben so viele leckere Sachen; ich muss da definitiv nochmal hin und was anderes probieren.

Finally the weather turned good. And finally, I spent a day at the beach, at Bondi Beach to be percisely, the most famous beach in Sydney. The temperature climbed up to 42 degrees and we felt like we were in the desert because the wind, which is usually cool and refreshing, was really, really hot; hotter than the air. Spending some time at the beach was a very good decision. The sea was cold but I believe that it never turns warm at any time. And the waves here are so strong; they just bowl you over. I underestimated their power and when I was in the water and the first wave was hitting me, I fell down. I didn't expected them to be so powerful but it was so much fun. After some time at the beach, we had ice cream at Ben & Jerry's and it was so delicious. There is an entire store of Ben & Jerry's and they have so many good looking things; some day I have to come again and try something different.
