A few days ago I told my german roomate that everything is really well organised at my university - and now it is a f*cking mess.
We had the final enrollment for our classes yesterday from 9am to 1pm. We were advised to arrive there early because some courses have limited spots and, well, as they say: first in best dressed. I was there at 8:30 and I was not the only one. We had to put our name into a list with numbers. I was number 38. Then at 9am the head of the faculty came and handed us, following the list, little papers with a time on it, when we should arrive again to actually do the enrollment. My time was 10:30am, but when I arrived there I had to wait one more hour until I could finally enter the office (the othere had to wait as well, of course). This was really annoying because we all had classes to attend to and why do they have this system with the times and the papers if it doesn't work anyway? Wecould just have waited there at 9, which would have been muchmore easier.
Then the woman in the office told me that there were no more spaces available at one of my courses and she asked if I had checked with the professor if it is ok that I attend the course anyway. Of course I did. This was really getting me upset because I know that, apart from me, there is only one other Erasmus student attending this course, and she had her enrollment after me. So that means that there are actually no spots available for international students. Why do they offer us the course if there isn't space for us anyway??
However, I got into the course at least.
At the same time we sould get our student card at the enrollement. When I asked for it, I was told to get it at the international office. So after my classes I walked all the way to the international office (different building, different street) just to be told that I had to collect the card at the faculty of law. The woman was somehow not able to tell me, where I could find the faculty of law so I had to search for it myself. When I arrived there I was told that the software was down and that I had to come back the next day at 9am.
That is what I did today. I went there at nine (my classes started at 11 today, so I thought some morning walk would be nice), but guess what? Nobody was there. After 30 minutes of waiting I left again.
What the fuck is wrong? I mean I have other things to do than waiting for some stupid shit every day.
Well, but I guess I have to try it again tomorrow in the afternoon.
I am just so pissed. Why is it that everything is organised so badly? Maybe it is just the way how thins work here in Spain. I guess I am just too german for that.
In the afternoon I went to Primark with Anna and Violetta. In the beginning I was worried because I entered the fitting room with about 20 pieces. I ended up buying two.
Afterwars we went for coffe and cake at Café y Tapas. They have this poster on the street which I pass by almost every da and on that poster is a really nice looking cheescake. Everytime I see i I want to have it and today I treated myself to it. But it wasn't actually that good. It wasn't fluffy and there were no blueberries in it, as it was shown on the poster.
I will now watch a movie and then go to sleep. 😙
