Día 24: flamenco night

¡Hola, amigos!
Da man sich ja immer auch mit der Kultur des Landes, in dem man sich befindet, beschäftigen sollte (ich bin ja jetzt allgemein nicht so Kunst-interessiert und was kulinarische Besonderheiten angeht bin ich ja auch eher - wie soll man sagen - naja eben nicht sehr aufgeschlossen), bin ich gestern mit ein paar Mädels zu einer Flamenco-Show gegangen. Wir dachten, dass wir da Flamenco-Tänzer (so Tanzpaare eben) sehen werden, vielleicht auf einer Bühne, eventuell auch mit Live-Band... Da das ganze 15€ gekostet hat, hatten wir eigentlich auch recht hohe Erwartungen. 

für jeden gab es aber eine Vino Tinto de Verano for free - also Rotwein mit Limo :D

Als wir angekommen sind hab ich erstmal festgestellt, dass das die selbe Location war wie letzte Woche diese Veranstaltung, bei der man die Flaggen auf sein T-Shirt bekommen hat. Wir sind dann in einen Raum mit Sofas gekommen, und am Rand saß eine Frau im roten Kleid und zwei Männer, einer mit Gitarre und einer mit so einer Percussion-Box. Die haben dann da halt Musik gemacht. Einmal ist der Mann ohne Gitarre dann aufgestanden und hat getanzt - aber eben nur einmal. Dann hat er noch ein paar Mädchen, die in der ersten Reihe saßen, aufgefordert, aufzustehen und mit ihm einen Tanz zu lernen (Gott sei dank saß ich nicht in der ersten Reihe). Das ganze hat aber dann doch eher an eine Kinder-Faschingsveranstaltung erinnert, vor allem weil wir am Schluss alle mitmachen sollten. Also, versteht mich nicht falsch, die Frau hat gut gesungen und die Musik war auch klasse, aber ich hatte mir eben doch mehr erwartet - vor allem mehr (professionellen) Tanz. 

Als die "Vorstellung" vorbei war sind wir dann nach nebenan in die Bar, in der ich letzte Woche schon war. Da war wieder die selbe Veranstaltung - die mit den Flaggen. Wir sind da eigentlich nur hin, weil es hieß, dort gäbe es Tapas for Free und wir hatten alle irgendwie Hunger (ich hatte kein Abendessen, deswegen hatte ich mich echt auf was zu Essen gefreut). Die Tapas haben allerdings gut 1 1/2 Stunden auf sich warten lassen und als sie dann serviert wurden, haben sie meinen Hunger auch nicht stillen können, denn erstens waren die mega schnell weg und zweitens haben die mir auch nicht wirklich geschmeckt :D.
Es gab Baguettescheiben, auf denen irgendwas undefinierbaren aus Kartoffel und Käse drauf war. Ich hab's probiert - war aber echt nicht mein Fall. Dann gab's noch etwas was sich hier glaube ich "Croquetas" nennt, also auch irgendwas mit Käse gefüllt - aber das hat auch nicht gut geschmeckt und die Konsistenz war richtig eklig. Das einzige was gut war waren gebackene Garnelen - aber die waren auch in null-komma-nichts weg. Also bin ich halt hungrig wieder heim.

Heute war ich dann kurz in der Uni und im Gym. Heute ist es irgendwie echt kalt draußen. Ich bin in langer Jeans und T-Shirt zur Uni gelaufen (dumm wie ich bin - ich dachte es wäre wärmer) und ich hab echt gefroren. Anscheinend bahnt sich der Herbst langsam auch seinen Weg nach Madrid.

Und jetzt gibt's eine coole Ankündigung zu machen: meine liebste Bianca wird mich nämlich besuchen. Beziehungsweise werden wir nach Silvester zusammen nach Madrid fliegen (ich komm ja an Weihnachten heim). Wir haben heute die Flüge gebucht. Ich freu mich so unglaublich drüber, dass das klappt und dass ich ihr Madrid zeigen kann. Das sind für uns dann quasi 4 Tage Stadt-Urlaub zusammen. Mega cool einfach :)

You should always experiece the culture of the country you're staying at and since I am not really into art and also not willig to try some strange food, I went to see a flamenco show with some girls from my uiversity yesterday. We thought that we see some dancers dancing the flamenco dance on a stage, maybe even with a live band. We were expecting pretty much, also since the entry was 15€. When we arrived at the location I recognized that is was the same place where I had been last thursday (you remember the bar were we were labeled with flags from our countries? This was the same place). We were led into a room with sofas and on the wall there was one woman sitting with a red dress on, one man with a guitar and a man with a percussion box. And they made music. One time on of teh two men stood up and danced - but that was it. Only one time. He then asked some girls sitting in the front row (thank god I was not sitting there) to get up and follow is dance. The whole thing looked more like a carnival event for children. Especially because in the end we all had to stand up and follow his moves. It was really weird. Don't get me wrong, the woman was singing very good and the music was nice but I simply have expected more - especially more (professional) dancers.
After the event we went nextdoor and joined the "flag-event". Actually, we only stayed because we were told there were free tapas and since none of us has had proper dinner, we wanted to have them. Unfortunately the tapas were served about 1 1/2 hours later and by that moment I was starving. But the tapas did not help. First of all they were gone immediately after the plate was placed on the table and I also didn't really like them. It ws bread with some cheese-potato-thing on top, something I think is called "Croquetas" which is dough filled with some kind of cheese (it did not taste well and the consistency was also rather disgusting) and baked shrimps (that was the only good thing available). So I went home with an empty stomach.
Today I just went to university and the gym. It is quite cold today. I was wearing eans and a t-shirt and I was freezing. Seems like autumn is making is way down to Spain.

There is one really cool announcement to make: my dearest Bianca will come and visit me in Madrid in January. In fact, we're going to come here together after new years (I will come home to Augsburg for christmas). We just booked our flight. I am so happy about her visiting me and that I can show her the city - it is like a 4-day holiday for us together. So amazing :)
